Q: Can I create my own menu?
A: Yes, our food and beverage experts are happy to create a Dallas wedding reception menu that reflects your wishes.  Our experienced team will work with you to fulfill your requests.


Q: How long will my reception last?
A: Generally, a wedding reception is planned for four hours.  You can extend the time if desired.  Your wedding specialist will advise any additional costs for a reception exceeding this timeframe.


Q: Can I have an open bar at the wedding?
A: You can elect to have an open bar, a limited selection of wine and beer or a cash bar.  Your wedding specialist will advise you on the costs and inclusions for each.


Q: Can I host a morning-after brunch or a rehearsal dinner at the hotel?
A: Certainly.  We have several locations that are appropriate for these occasions.


Q: Are taxes and service charges included in the pricing?
A: No, your contract pricing will not include all taxes and service charges.  Current charges are 8.25% tax and 22% service charge.


Q: May I bring in my own wedding cake?
A: Yes, you may provide both the wedding cake and the groom's cake. We will provide the china and utensils, as well as complimentary cake-cutting assistance.

Q: Do you have catering at wedding locations other than the hotel?
A: Yes, Regency Caterers by Hyatt has a full service catering and culinary staff to accommodate many venues.  Your wedding specialist will advise you on possible locations, including Old Red Courthouse, the Sixth Floor Museum, Museums at Fair Park, 7 Senses, Frontiers of Flight Museum and more.


Q: Do you provide wedding decorations?
A: We will provide complimentary mirror and votive centerpieces to further enhance your tabletop.  We partner with floral, linen and decor companies to create the perfect ambience.

Q: Can you provide the entertainment?
A: We can recommend local agencies that can assist you with your entertainment needs, including live bands, string quartets and interactive DJs.

Q: Do you offer children's menus?
A: Yes, a custom children's menu can be prepared especially for your younger guests.
